ARM is enabling a new generation of heterogeneous system-on-chip (SoC) solutions with the ARM® CoreLink™ CCI-550. The CCI-550 enables a fully coherent GPU or other accelerators while lowering latency and increasing peak throughput. In combination with the new CoreLink DMC-500 dynamic memory controller, the new CoreLink platform offers increased performance and system efficiency targeted for mobile devices. TIRIAS Research, however, believes that the platform will also enable a wide range of applications, including consumer (DTV), low-end networking applications, automotive infotainment, industrial, medical applications, and a wide range of other applications looking for increased performance in a small and low-power form factor.
