Dell introduced its high-performance computing (HPC) System for Manufacturing in the summer of 2016. Later in the year at SC16 (Supercomputing conference), Dell EMC released it to production as the Dell EMC HPC System for Manufacturing (SfM). SfM is, at its core, an HPC cluster that is sized, configured, optimized, and deployed as a solution for small and mid-sized digital engineering organizations.
